The Golden Residence Permit program (GRP) in Spain began in 2013. This program offers a permanent residence card to foreign investors, enabling them to become European citizens.
With a minimum investment of 500,000 EUR, the Spanish Golden Visa allows foreign investors to invest in real estate and obtain Spanish residency for three generations of their family. They can enjoy the benefits of living and working in this country, as well as freedom of movement within the Schengen Area. Additionally, their children are exempt from public school fees.
Investors and their families can apply for permanent residency after 5 years of residence and apply for citizenship after 10 years.
